What a Waste!

Who would throw away a perfectly good house like that?!

Green... with Envy

And... We have...
COLOR!!!
We got the 'keys' above the windows and doors (incl. the garage)
and the 'quoins' on the corners.
'Welcome'
(Imagine that somewhere here...)
--- and a plant and a bench... ---

And rain gutters were installed the next day!

Ta-daa!

No More See-Through Walls!

Our home LOOKS like a home!
No more trying to see the rooms through the sticks.
Our Entry
Our Kitchen/Dining
(they clean up real nice... see below pic of work in progress...)
Our nook
Dane's Shadow Box
(I'll show you what'll go there later...)
I caught some pictures while the work was still in progress...
Our archways...
(and we got that bent board supported -
and even another wall that was missing the support...
Thanks Dad & Uncle George!)
80 Degrees and mud on the walls!
Our 3rd arch...
We have the rounded corners... looks real nice!

Does Jenn REALLY work on the houses?!

Of course she does!
See that hand? That's her thumbs up sign!
Today, she painted baseboards.
Why? Who knows, they just say it needs done.
Aha! There she is.
Who took this picture?!
(A nice guy by the name of Tim...
Yeah, Tim Eron Thewin Dowsill.)
(Aka - Timer on the Window Sill)
;)

Scaffolding on the LAST house...

What in the world is this???
(pssst... it's a sign that more work has been done on our home!)
That's called soffit, my friends!
And the gray walls of stucco to go with it.
(Gray is the base coat.)
WAIT!!!
The garage door? Brown??
I didn't think so either.
Here, they thought they could slip that brown door
on our home without our knowing...
little did they know...
We told them what we thought of their sly, sneaky ways.
(Now we don't have ANY garage door...
but white SHOULD be on its way.)
Scaffolding around our house... FINALLY!!
That's a NICE attic vent.

A Birthday?! Who? Who?

Jenn's, of course!

What a WONDERFUL surprise when I came home from work!

We watched 'Tangled' at the dollar theater (3D) as a family...
(Porter's 3D glasses lasted all of 3 minutes - but he LOVED the movie.
Maybe that's how he sees!)

And then Dane and I went to Tucanos Brazillian Grill...
(And rolled out with yumminess in our tumminess!)

Not a bad way to turn 32!

'Curb' Appeal

The city came with a 'spiffy' truck to cut our curbs...
(This one getting smoothed - I love the rocks that show through!)
See the leaning tower of cement slab?!
Here's the 'spiffy truck that's cutting the cement.
(It can even cut the slanted part!)
Here's the next one getting dug...
Hey, Barnett's!!!
There's a backhoe in your front yard!!!

Shooting the Breeze No More...

Insulation makes SUCH a difference!
(kitchen)
Even though it's just the exterior, it's starting to look like a house!
(Master Bedroom)
Our padded room is underway, too!
(aka, the basement.)
(The garage!)

Porter's 'Playtime' Therapy

I love it when I can go to therapy with Porter!
Here's Porter sporting his new kinesio tape on his face...
helps with his eyes tracking better!
(Amazing, huh?!)
That's my boy!
trucks, cars, planes, and helicopters...
which one shall I play with first?!
(Don't be fooled - he works for his cars!)

One Hungry Horse

CONSIDER YOURSELF CAUGHT, PINTO!!

This is Pinto...
(Short for Pinto Bean)
Dane and I found this on our couch.
The best part is that he's got his head in a container of oats!
(Horses REALLY like oats!)
Obviously.

Daddy Time!

I love my boys!
uh hem... little men.
"Look at that truck! That's a NICE truck! I like that truck... it's red."

Debany Decides to Ride Her Bike

So, all last summer, we himmed and hawed to get Debany to learn to ride a bike...
Though she wanted to, she just wasn't ready.

So she had all winter to grow and think about it.
She practiced balance on her scooter...

And then when Gma Debi came, she had an extra push to do-it-to-it!
Here she goes:
She's catching her balance while pedaling...
Can stand up while she pedals...
And can turn corners without putting her foot down.
and falling?... I get a thumbs up that tells me she'll keep getting back up to keep riding.
Here's to her love of bike-riding and lots of trail-riding this summer!
(And Myanna soon to follow!)
;)
