Merry Christmas our furry friend...

No Bones About it...
Though the festivities are over and Christmas meals are past, the giving spirit continues on in our home.  Once we were done with our fried chicken, the girls were determined to give Grandpa's dog, Ginger, her bones for Christmas.

Unfortunately, FedEx doesn't ship left-over bones due to the awkwardness of the request, so the girls settled for sending it via the Web.
(Thank you, Charlotte & Wilbur.)

Merry Christmas, Ginger!
Don't forget to lick your chops and wipe your paws.
(And try to keep it off the carpet for Mom & Dad.)

Tracking Santa...

Ever wonder where in the 'WORLD' Santa is?  Is he overhead right now?  No, he's in Paris, France!  Well, here's how you can know for yourself.  Track Santa!  http://www.noradsanta.org/en/home.html

Meet Frosty...

"Frosty the snowman had two gloves for his two twiggy arms,
With a Hawaiian hat and a long red scarf,
two starry eyes and a banana mouth."

We left Frosty to take care of the rest of the falling snow.

Snow Adventures

Dear Journal,

Monday, December 22, 2008...
Spent the day shoveling snow.  We shoveled so much snow that we found a car!
(The equivalent to when you mow your lawn in the south.)

Battle of the icicles...

Unfortunately, our home doesn't have gutters. It kind of destroys the cement where all the water runs off of the roof.

BUT, it makes for great icicles! At no cost, even!

*Ding, Ding*
And in this corner of the house...
Measuring in at 5 ft. 2 in. long...
On the 23rd of December...
"Talula"
Will it meet the floor?
Stay tuned...

The purpose of ENUNCIATION...

An example:

"I am a Child of God, and he has 'left' me here...
Has given me an Earthly home, with parents 'kind of' dear...

(Next verse)
"I am a Child of God, and so my 'knees' are great..."
"Lead me, guide me, 'rock' beside me..."

The things kids say.  Hillarious.  Enjoy.

Porter's Radio Flyer...

Here is Porter's
'Old Man Walker'... aka... 'Radio Flyer'

Normally, for Porter, he will tuck his legs up and put his feet out in front of him. This is how he still goes up the stairs. I can't get him to crawl up those for anything!

When Porter wants up the stairs, he'll sit at the bottom, bang on the bottom step and lift his arm up - which means 'up'. Who's got who trained?! Sunday, he just started kneeling at the bottom stair. Yeah!

Here, Porter is lifting up his legs vertically which is a BIG feet...err feat. His right leg has muscle tone - meaning it's stiff. It's very hard for him to lift it up. It's usually locked out. Here, he's lifting it on his own... and in sync with his other leg.

What a big boy!!! Go Porter!
