Porter goes in for eye surgery for his lazy eye(s).
We love the murals at the new Riverton facility!
Waiting for our turn...
...getting vitals taken...
'touch the light'
Porter in his magic pajamas...
Porter went in for bimedial surgery --
they will work on both eye muscles in the middle, close to the nose.
what cool bracelets! And Daddy here, to boot!!

It's so much fun to explore the intake room!
We love the wagon rides!
Playing with toys while we wait for the big moment.
There he goes! (He's in the wagon.)
And Mommy & Daddy play the waiting game...
and Daddy has to go to work, while Mommy paces...
Jenn gets news that the surgery is over, but Porter wants to hold his breath, and is on oxygen.
So she paces some more...
After watching 15 other families go in before us (about 1 hour or so), it was finally time for Mommy to come in.
Porter didn't want to wake up for the nurses, but as soon as Jenn came in and started talking to Porter, his heart rate started to pick up and decided to finally wake up!
(That made my day!)
And he immediately wanted Mommy to hold him! He sat up right away!
(Loving it -- my heart was just reaching out to him. I was more than willing to hold him. -- Except that he looked so fragile...)
There's the oxygen, and his much appreciated washcloth!
And, of course, the wagon ride out to the car... to go back home.
Where the real work was about to begin...
