The Provo Tabernacle before one morning's fire...

They couldn't save the building - just try to put out as much of the fire as they could.
(I was at work at the Provo Recreation Center that morning at 5am,
and one of my co-workers saw the fire.)

Called a "Christmas Miracle" - the thing that survived (not the many, many instruments for the Christmas program to happen the evening of the fire) was a painting...
a painting of Christ - it was still burnt, but not round the image of Christ,

One afternoon, on my way to the post office just across from the tabernacle,
I finally got to see the tabernacle (post-fire).
I never got to see the inside of the building. And never will.
But a beautiful building nonetheless.
