Debany Was Sick!

Last night, Debany was sick.  The poor kid was not feeling well from 9pm until 4am when she was able to sleep the rest of the morning.  

That said, sick kids in the middle of the night can say the most hilarious things.

We put Debany in the shower to relax, and she fell asleep.  When we woke her up to get her out she said:

--- "The water's sucking me!   ... Oh, nevermind."    (???)

Debany had the garbage can for her throw up bucket.  She was so sleepy that we had to keep reminding her to keep her head in it when she threw up.  Successfully keeping her head in after throwing up she said:

--- "That was perfect!"  (not something you usually hear from someone who just threw up.)

After finally getting some sleep, the next morning she said:

---"Last night was the weirdest night ever."

This poor kid.  I've never seen anyone throw up so much.  She kept saying that she "didn't like this throwing up stuff."  Yet through it all, she was so tender.  Saying "thank you" when we were there helping, and "sorry" when things didn't go right.  I'm just glad that I could be there to witness it through one of her 'weakest' hours and help comfort her so she could rest as much as she could throughout it.  Call it weird, but there's something about stroking someone's back to soothe them when their body is not able to relax itself.
